Remarkable Facilities & Experimental Sites

MUSC bench
The noncontact ultrasonic measurement bench (MUSC) provides insight into the propagation of mechanical waves for the development of new non-destructive testing techniques.

Geophysical test site
The geophysical test site is designed for the application of methods for locating buried objects under perfectly controlled conditions.

Hydraulic catapult
The hydraulic catapult enables instrumented horizontal impact tests to be carried out at medium energy levels (1 MJ, i.e., a mass of 3 tons propelled at 100 km/h).

Rockfall experimental station
This test station consists of a boom mounted at the top of a 70-meter-high vertical cliff, allowing loads of up to 20 tons to be dropped.

Geotechnical Centrifuge
The centrifuge machine enables all experimental phases to be carried out, from the construction of test models to the processing of data collected during testing.
